The bagging system allows the clippings from the lawn to be retained and then dumped where the mulching system allows the clippings to be spread back onto the lawn. This is a personal preference. However most bagging systems can be taken off of the mower to allow both features to be utilized. 4. What type of power are you looking for? Traditionally the main method of mowing your lawn has been with a gas powered lawn mower. It is a machine that has served the test of time and performs the job well. There have been corded electric lawn mowers around for a while of course but gas mowers have remained the most popular. More recently though cordless lawn mowers have come onto the market and have been growing in popularity. But overall which is best? One of the attractions of gas powered mowers is that their range and how much lawn you can cut is limited only by how much gasoline you have in your can. Therefore for large lawns this is clearly an attraction.
Besides range petrol-powered mowers are also much more powerful and versatile than other varieties of mowers as mentioned previously. With the petrol mowers you are getting a serious piece of machinery. The the purist and lawn mower enthusiasts nothing but a petrol lawn mower will do because they are the genuine article. While electric and cordless lawn mowers cannot cut through wet or rough grass the petrol powered ones can. Also if the grass is infrequently cut it can grow long and wild. A petrol mower can easily tame the laid-back landscapers biggest horror but other mower types simply can not. In addition to the benefits mentioned above petrol lawn mowers often have an extension for mulching grass after it is cut. This means that instead of throwing your grass clippings in the garbage they can be used as compost which will add a great variety of nutrients to any future soil you wish to mix with the compost. Without a doubt petrol-powered machines can have a positive green effect and provide you with a lot of joy and pleasure while you are mowing your lawn.
